Urban Status is the new brand powered by Devmark Property Group developed to manage the social housing developments’ division.

Urban Status Rentals has entered into a JBCC contract with a Main Contractor to deliver the project, The Block Glenhaven, which is made up of three Precincts. This is a greenfields project on erven 14121 and 14118, Bellville South measuring 72 428m2 and is situated on the corner of Peter Barlow and Bester Roads within Restructuring Zone District D, Cape Town.

This integrated housing project will provide affordable mixed tenure housing opportunities in very close proximity to public transport (Serpta Railway Station 300m), opportunities of employment such as Bellville CBD and Sacks Circle, public amenities (schools, State hospitals, public libraries etc.) and tertiary education institutes (1,2kms from both UWC and CPUT Bellville Campus).

The second precinct, called Anchorage Glenhaven, is a specially-dedicated social housing initiative in conjunction with the City of Cape Town and aims to offer affordable and safe social housing and is directly managed by Urban Status Rentals.

The units include bachelors (30m2), 1-bedroom (30m2) and 2-bedroom (38m2) units in a 38 2-, 3- and 4-storey walk-ups.
